Shades of Blue to Shades of Green
Microsoft also tested multiple versions of blue for links in their search results. A specific color of blue (#0044CC) drove $80-$100 million dollars a year increase over the light blue the design team tried first.
For those curious of what the awesome hex color translates to: 
Bet you want to click that color so bad right now, don’t you? Maybe I should throw up some AdWords on it.
Sure, I appreciate the power of analytics as much as the next guy and all but it sure sucks all the fun and creativity out of being a designer. Maybe I’m just old fashioned like that.
